In the inscriptions of Zeng Bo, who was unearthed in the tomb of No. 21 in the Guodian cemetery of Zaoyang in Hubei Province, there are two characters such as “”, “” Some scholars according to “■ ” presumed the Western Zhou Dynasty already had “cast Pen Ding ” incident, so that the device in the history of Chinese law is of great significance. This is the result of the misunderstanding and over-interpretation of the 钺 inscription and the words “■” and “”. Zeng Bo 陭 钺 belonged to the late Western Zhou Dynasty to early spring and autumn device, is the symbol of the power of the state monarch. The inscriptions see “”, “well ” these two “punishment ” the word, when the ancient writing common so-called “the same word with the heterogeneous ” phenomenon. “■ ” word, “Then ” and even A plate inscriptions, both with “Casting tripod ” incident without any connection. There is still doubts about the interpretation of the sentence of Zeng Bo 陭 钺 and the sentence of “non-calendar ((sentence)”. In particular, the meaning of the word “calendar” remains to be further studied.
