“流散(Diaspora)”已成为当下跨文化研究的热门,它是指离开母体文化而在另一文化环境中生存,由此而引起个体精神世界的文化冲突与抉择,文化身份认同与追寻等～系列问题的文化现象。“流散文学”(Diasporic Literature)就是流散者创作的文学作品(包括文学理论)。在“流散文学”中,流散中的生存体验与文化问题得到艺术的表现。“东方流散文学”在一般意义上是指以亚非地区和各民族传统文化为母体文化而徙居于异质文化的作家创作的文学。
