The double Mannich reaction of 3-aryl-5-mercapto-1,2,4-triazoles with formaldehyde and primary amines (aromatic amines or aliphatic amines) in hydrogen chloride-ethanol solution was studied. Thirteen novel The structure of the fused heterocyclic compound was confirmed by elemental analysis, IR, 1HNMR and MS. The biological activities of these compounds were initially determined.
