曾经有文献报道,溴化碘(准确地说应为溴化碘的络合酸HIBr_2)滴定法可代替碘滴定法,成为一种新的滴定方法,且有一定的优点。例如溴化碘在0.15N氢溴酸形成了碘氢溴酸络合物HIBr_2比较稳定,而它的标准电极电位(+0.88伏)也比I_2/2I~-高一些。因此溴化碘滴定法曾广泛应用于多种还原剂如砷(Ⅲ)、锑(Ⅲ)、锡(Ⅱ)、汞(Ⅰ)、铁(Ⅱ)、亚硫酸盐、维生素C和甲醛等的测定。但尚未见应用于尿酸的测定。
