Arrhythmia is a heart disease caused by the origin of cardiac electrical activity or transduction disorder. The molecular mechanism of its occurrence and development is not yet clear. Cardiac myocyte surface membrane ion channels and gap junction channel protein expression and function of the key to determine the steady state of cardiac electrical activity. The nuclear receptor family is a family of ligand-activated transcription factors that include steroid hormones, vitamin D, thyroid hormones, and more. They are located in the nucleus and play an important role in the regulation of the transcription, transport and function of ion channels and connexins. Now on nuclear receptor regulation of arrhythmia occurrence and development of related reports to do a review.
