Between September and October 1980, an array of 31 three-component magnetometers was observed in a well-known area of geothermal anomalies in the Rocky Mountain range of Alberta. The purpose of this array is to study the possibility of geomagnetic anomalies consistent with geothermal anomalies. The article gives examples of magnetograms and Fourier transform anomalies and points out that although there are some signs of abnormality, it is largely obscured by large exogenous field gradients. The article also gives a detailed analysis of the transfer function of the data, and calculates the transfer function of single station and the solution of the induction matrix. The latter includes using the least squares fitting surface to represent the normal field and gives the effective method Sexual reasons. The paper also shows contour maps of the response of anomalous vertical fields to horizontal hypothetical events and the pseudoprosses of | Z ~ a / H ~ n | across the array. These illustrate the existence of abnormally high electrical conductors under geothermal anomalies and demonstrate that the top of the electrical conductor is approximately at 10- Depth of 20km. The cross section reveals that the electrical conductor extends at least to the depth of the lower crust. The correlation between conductivity and geothermal anomalies supports the corollary that both are due to local melting in the crust.
