俄罗斯作曲家索菲亚·古拜杜林娜1在其音乐作品中,为表现音乐内容而使用任何作曲技法的创作理念,使其使用了大量的现代作曲技法。其中值得一提的是她广泛使用的节奏处理技术与节奏形态:从传统到现代,并将其进行复合,以更好的表现她的音乐构思。而且她还不断地探索和使用数列控制节奏和结构的方法,尤其是菲波纳奇数列。另外,她的节奏概念不仅包括有声的部分,而且还包括无声的部分。同时,这些节奏组织的方式、方法,又同她的音乐审美观有着密切关系。
