1985年省委、省政府作出《关于努力把湖北建成体育强省的决定》以来,我省竞技体育连续10年荣获“国家体育事业突出贡献奖”。10年来,我省体育健儿共夺得87人次世界冠军,51人次创世界纪录,195人次夺得亚洲冠军,28人次创亚洲纪录。为国家争了光,为湖北人民争得了荣誉。省委省政府于1995年3月29日作出决定,对为我省连续十年荣获“国家体育事业突出贡献奖”做出重要贡献的武汉市、荆沙市、孝感市、黄石市、襄樊市,应城市、仙桃市、潜江
In 1985, the provincial party committee and the provincial government made the Decision on Striving to Build Hubei Province into a Strong Sports Province, and the competitive sports in our province won the Outstanding Contribution Award of the National Sports Enterprise for 10 consecutive years.
