共振论是美国著名化学家鲍林在1931年——1933年为了解决当时经典结构理论所不能说明的一些问题而提出来的。它也是在价键理论上发展起来的,是价键理论的一种引申,被用来处理具有多个 Lewis 结构的分子,是一种定性描述电子离域的方法,特别是用来描述活性中间体中电子的离域。近年来有人用量子力学的近似方法处理经典共振论,使之定量化并发展成为结构共振论。因此,学习和掌握共振论对于我们学习有机化学就显得很有必要了。
Resonance theory was put forward by Pauling, a famous American chemist, in 1931-1933 in order to solve some problems that the classical structure theory was unable to explain at that time.
