1992年12月至1993年6月,笔者在担任中国驻东埔寨联合国军事观察员期间,曾因工作需要,与赴东执行维和任务的法国外籍军团的军官共事了半年多。其间,我还相遇了在该军团中服役的7名中国籍的法国兵,他们都是前几年通过不同渠道到法国、经过考试而入伍的。他们头戴蓝色贝蕾帽,身着外籍军团灰色的作战训练服,左右臂分别佩有法国三色旗和联合国臂章。他们见到来自中国的观察员,显得十分高兴和热情,话匣子便滔滔不绝地打开了……一这7名中国籍士兵分别来自浙江温州、福建沿海和上海等地。赴法前,他们有的是刚刚走出校门的高
From December 1992 to June 1993, during his tenure as the United Nations military observer in East Pozhai, the author worked for more than six months with officers of the French Foreign Corps carrying out peacekeeping missions in eastern China due to work needs. In the meantime, I also met seven Chinese soldiers serving in the Corps, all of them entering France through different channels a few years ago and passed the exams. They wore blue berets and were dressed in gray combat training suits of the Foreign Legion, with French Tricolor and UN armbands on their left and right arms.
