The old handicraft of weaving does not sound new, but the interpretation of the bundle of fibers and crafts in the hands of modern art began in the 1970s as artists created their own personality based on their knowledge and choice of materials works. The Lausanne Biennale in Switzerland is the venue for such artists to meet and exchange, but it has not been able to continue since 1996 for many reasons. The Fiber Art Exhibition “Lausanne to Beijing” sponsored by the Tsinghua University Academy of Fine Arts has revived hopes and enthusiasm for artists and enthusiasts who love fibers in various countries. The work of more than 60 artists from 15 countries not only enriches the eyes of those who love fiber art, but also adds a beautiful exotic flower to the rich cultural atmosphere of the capital.
