济南水泥厂已连续21年,坚持用石灰石连同废渣一起“吃尽”的办法,来生产325、425号水泥。不仅全面综合利用了矿山资源,而且使产品成本、经济效益达到了全国同类企业的先进水平。1961年以前,这个厂也同大多数水泥厂一样,从矿山中选取合格的石灰石作水泥原料,矿山利用率只有70%左右。不仅矿山资源严重浪费,生产成本高,经济效益低,而且也不适应生产日益发展的需要。为了保护矿山资源,提高经济效益,从1962年起,他们开始对矿山的综合利用进行了研究。厂里以化验室为主组成一个研究小组,到矿山分层解剖矿体,做了100多次取样分析,取得600多个数据。在分清矿山各类石样化学成份和杂土、山皮性质的基础上,经过一年多的反复配比实践,终于在1964年用石灰石与山皮、杂土、废渣相混合的
