For a long time, the study of the theory of foreign language teaching in our country has been limited to the endless controversy of the pros and cons of foreign language teaching, and the discussion and research on the major theoretical issues such as the nature and method of foreign language teaching from a philosophical height. What is even more troubling is that a considerable number of foreign language teachers engaged in foreign language teaching practice show some degree of indifference and ignorance to the theory of language and foreign language teaching.
