Purpose Helicobacter pylori (Hp) in vitro is prone to spherical degeneration, is currently considered to be unable to cultivate the degenerative state. However, it is still unclear how Hp will survive in the environment and how to infect a large number of people. To this end, morphological changes of Hp, especially spherical anomie were studied. Methods In this study, 18 Hp strains were cultured under different conditions to observe their survival and morphological changes, and in empty medium supplemented with egg and calf serum on the curved medium and added with serum Brinell broth medium To cultivate and return to ancestors, observe the variation of law. Results Hp could be propagated in liquid at room temperature. In 18 of 18 strains, the anomalous Hp of three spheroids were observed at room temperature. In addition to the common spherical deformation, Hp rod bending, long rod, short rod, filament, giant Spheroids, spheroids, protoplasts, and small “S” and arc variants. According to the order and phenotype of Hp morphological changes, it was found that Hp changed from typical “S” or multi-helical shape to rod-shaped bend, long rod shape and short rod shape, and then turned into spherical shape, filament body, giant sphere and silk Spheres, protoplasts of the law. Some variants can return to ancestors under certain conditions. Conclusion Hp prone to polymorphism, there are certain rules. It can grow and reproduce at room temperature. Spheroids can be returned on Hp egg medium or in room temperature liquid medium. Suggesting that Hp globular transformation plays an important role in the relapse after infection and treatment
