Objective: To study the analgesic and antiepileptic effects of CJ. METHODS: The analgesic pharmacological experiment of T. stenoptera volatile oil was performed by writhing and mouse tail flicking. The antiepileptic effect was measured by the maximal electroshock (MES) acute convulsive model test and the pentylenetetrazol (PTZ) convulsion model. RESULTS: Low-dose volatile oil of Rhizoma Typhaloides could significantly reduce the number of writhing and tail-flicking caused by acetic acid, and the analgesic effect was obvious. CJO50 mg.kg-1 dose group can significantly reduce MES convulsions and significantly prolong PTZ latency, but As the dose increases, the antiepileptic effect diminishes. Conclusion: The low-dose Radix Angelicae sinensis volatile oil has obvious analgesic effect and good antiepileptic effect.
