人免疫缺陷病毒1型(HIV-1)近年来在泰国迅速蔓延。现有的研究资料表明,在泰国北部地区的妓女群体中有异常高的HIV-1感染率,而异性间的性接触是泰国人感染HIV-1的主要危险因素。为了了解青年男性与血清HIV-1阳性妓女每发生1次性接触获得HIV-1感染的传播概率,作者进行了这次研究。 Human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1) has rapidly spread in Thailand in recent years. Existing research data indicate an unusually high prevalence of HIV-1 among prostitutes in northern Thailand, and heterosexual sexual contact is a major risk factor for Thai infection with HIV-1. The authors conducted this study in order to understand the probability of transmission of HIV-1 infection in each single sexual encounter between young men and seronegative HIV-1 prostitutes.
