Animal blood has a long history. As early as Liang Hongtao’s “Doctors Don’t Record” and “Ben Cao Jingji”, there are many animal blood tastes, indications, and oral applications of chickens, ducks, apes, dogs, and geese. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the function of animal blood was increasingly valued by clinical scientists. According to Li Shizhen’s “Compendium of Materia Medica” and Zhao Xuemin’s “Supplement to Compendium of Materia Medica”, there are 33 kinds of clinical animal blood use. From the modern times to the modern times, the clinical application of animal blood has become increasingly widespread. Not only modern medicine has been used to do a lot of in-depth research, but also in terms of dosage forms have also undergone major reforms, so that animal blood application methods become more perfect.
