为充分挖掘和利用革命历史文化资源,积极发展红色旅游,广泛开展爱国主义和革命传统教育,大力弘扬和培育民族精神,不断增强民族凝聚力,推动革命老区经济社会协调发展,中共中央办公厅、国务院办公厅于2004年底印发《2004-2010年全国红色旅游发展规划纲要》,就发展红色旅游的总体思路、总体布局和主要措施作出明确规定:我国将在未来重点建设12大红色旅游区、30条精品线路和100多个经典景区。每个中国人,如果有可能,一生中应该选择到几个红色旅游景区去看一看。而2005年,无疑就是个“红色旅游年”。“国庆节”到了,朋友们,来趟红色旅游吧,也许将会一生受益,因为通过先辈的故事,我们更能知道今天的幸福生活是多么的来之不易,从而更加珍惜和享受现在的美好生活!
