近年来,中国社会面临着新的大转型,这种态势下的人们自觉不自觉地被媒介包围,媒介及媒介素养越来越被人们所谈论和关注。在一个拥有13多亿人口、拥有五千年文明的国家中,开展现代性的媒介教育和媒介素养教育是前所未有的人类创举,具有时代意义。很显然,中国的媒介形态和媒介管理体系与发达国家是完全不同的,什么是媒介素养,什么是媒介素养教育,媒介素养教育的目的是什么,内容是什么,如何开展媒介素养教育,如何使媒介素养教育为社会所广泛接受,而不是停留在专家、学者和少数实验单位里,都是我们应该思考的问题。
