According to the Science News Letters, element 102 has been made at the Nobel Institute of Physics in Stockholm. Preparation method is to accelerate the C ~ (13) ion detonation Cm ~ (244). According to the cloud, a total of only about 50 atoms have been prepared and the properties are very unstable. When decaying, α particles with an energy of 8.5 mega-electron volts are emitted, with a half-life of only about 10 minutes. It is now claimed that its mass number is 253.
