INTRODUCTION Sutong Bridge is located between Suzhou (Changshu) and Nantong in Jiangsu Province. It is a cross-river hub project of Shenyang-Haikou Passage of the National Expressway planned by the Ministry of Communications with a total investment of about 6.45 billion yuan. The total length of the route is 32.4 km, of which the cross-river bridge is about 8.2 km in length. The two-way six-lane expressway is adopted throughout the line. The main bridge uses a 1,088 m double-tower cable-stayed bridge with a height of 300.4 m.
