Norwegian continental shelf and Institute of Petroleum Technology (IKU) geologists published in the Norwegian continental shelf in the Quaternary stratigraphy study. The report was completed by Kare Rokoengen and Torgeir Gunleiksrud (now with Continental Oil) with the assistance of Lewis H King, a consultant on mineral geology in Canada. This report is one of many achievements of Quaternary and surface geological mapping over the years. This mapping started 15 years ago and was supported by the Ministry of Petroleum and Energy. Its basic data are regional shallow seismic surveys and lateral scanning profiles
