汞广泛存在于生物圈中,并久已被认为是一种毒物,环境中过量的汞能通过食物和呼吸进入人体,造成公害。而目前还没有一种药物能有效地治疗汞中毒,本实验试图通过硒对大鼠汞中毒的拮抗效应的研究,从而研制出一种能防止和治疗汞中毒的药物。硒是人体必需的微量元素,硒对汞的拮抗作用早已为人们所知,在膳食中添加适量的硒可以缓解无机汞和甲基汞对大鼠等多种实验动物的毒性作用,并能提高由于汞中毒引起的谷胱甘肽过氧化物酶活力的下降。
Mercury is widespread in the biosphere and has long been considered a toxin, and excessive levels of mercury in the environment can enter the body through food and breathing, causing pollution. At present, there is not a kind of drug that can effectively treat mercury poisoning. In this experiment, we tried to study the antagonistic effect of selenium on mercury poisoning in rats, so as to develop a drug that can prevent and treat mercury poisoning. Selenium is an essential trace element for the human body. The antagonism of selenium to mercury has long been known. Adding appropriate amounts of selenium to the diet can alleviate the toxic effects of inorganic mercury and methylmercury on various experimental animals such as rats, and can increase Glutathione peroxidase activity is reduced by mercury poisoning.
