淞沪会战1937年“七七事变”爆发37天后,日本侵略军又向上海发动了大规模进攻。中国军队英勇抗击,进行了历时3个月的淞沪会战。8月13日至11月12日,面对侵华日军对上海的进攻,中国守军顽强抵抗。守卫四行仓库的中国军队更是孤军奋战,誓死不退。上海人民也以极大的爱国热情,冒着生命危险,把慰问品、药品源源不断地送入四行仓库,支持守军抗日。11月12日,上海失守。此次战役揭开了中国全面抗战的序幕。
After the outbreak of the “July Incident of 1937” in 1937, the Japanese Forces for Aggression launched a massive offensive on Shanghai. Chinese armies fought bravely and conducted a three-month-long battle of Songhu. From August 13 to November 12, facing the invasion of China by Japanese troops in Shanghai, the Chinese defenders stubbornly resisted.
