河北中部的第四系覆盖区,自从开展石油普查勘探工作以来,某些中、深钻井陆续揭露了一些中生代地层,在这些地层中也发现了较多的孢粉、轮藻、介形类、腹足类、瓣鳃类等化石。但由于钻井中所揭露的中生代地层及所获古生物材料,均比较零星,缺乏系统性,某些时代地层也缺少相应的命名。“华北地区区域地层表”(1979)和“河北省中生代断代总结”(1982),在论及平原区的中生界时,也只是简单的概述。平原区至今尚未建立中生代地层系统。我们在自己鉴定古生物资料的基础上,收集了一些地层古生物资料,对河北中部平原区中生代地层,进行了初步的划分和对比。

Based on our own identification of paleontology data, we collected some paleopontological data and carried out a preliminary division and comparison of Mesozoic strata in the plains area of central Hebei.
