我发现只有在为数不多的场合,我亮出我这个博士身份才会起点作用,如订飞机票或是订戏票,或向高级饭店请求保留席位等等。但是你们想过没有,除了我以上所讲的这些用处之外,你们花费大量时间接受高等教育的理由是什么?为什么那些教师和教授要你们读书,要你们写文章,作读书笔记和学期论文呢?还有那些小测验、考试和无休止的提问!你们究竟为什么要让自己忍受这一场折磨呢?
I found out that only in a limited number of occasions did I show my identity as a Ph.D. doctor, such as booking a plane ticket or booking a ticket, asking for a reservation for a superior hotel, and so on. But you have thought no. What are the reasons why you spent a lot of time on higher education, other than the ones I have mentioned above? Why do teachers and professors want you to study, ask you to write essays, study notes and term papers? There are those quizzes, exams, and endless questions! Why do you endure this torture yourself?
