晚清至民国,数十年间,战乱频繁,动荡不安,暗杀成风。从庙堂到江湖,从都市到乡野,人们稍有不满,便付诸武力来解决。当时,针对上层政治人物的暗杀行为可谓层出不穷,各路势力,一碰上难以搞定的对手,都会想到一个终极办法,就是雇一个杀手,将其干掉。至于暗杀的手段,从直接枪杀,到背后下毒,再到借刀杀人等等,可谓五花八门。本文主人公——民国外交总长顾维钧遭遇的,却是现在看起来很流行,在当时却还鲜有人用的“邮弹”袭击。
