It is generally believed that the Confucius Temple in Xi’an, part of the Museum of Steles Museum in Xi’an today, was originally built in the Northern Song Dynasty and used to be the Confucius Temple of the Northern Song Dynasty. In fact, between the Northern Song Dynasty Jingzhao Fu Temple and the Tang Chang’an State Confucius Temple, there is still a continuing relationship. In other words, if we continue to trace back, then the history of Confucius Temple in Xi’an, should be the beginning of the Tang dynasty was built in the Confucius Temple in Chang’an. Based on the historical records and the related inscriptions, this paper tries to do some sorts of research on the establishment and renovation of the Zhongkang Temple of the Chang’an Imperial Examiner and its relationship with the Zhong Confucian Temple in the Chang’an City after the Tang Dynasty.
