各省、自治区、直辖市及计划单列市、省会城市、自治区首府计委、物价局、统计局: 8月份全国居民消费价格总水平比上月上涨0.3%,比上年同月下降0.7%。1—8月份累计,居民消费价格总水平比上年同期下降0.8%。与上月相比,居民消费价格中食品、居住价格分别上涨1.2%和0.2%,烟酒及用品、医疗保健及个人用品价格持平,其余四大类商品及服务项目价格有不同程度下降。食品价格上涨是拉动价格总水平上涨的主要因素,扣除食品后的居民消费价格水平比上月略降0.1%。食品中粮食价格上涨0.1%,
Provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government and cities specifically designated in the state plan, provincial capitals, the capital planning commissions of the autonomous regions, the Price Bureau and the Bureau of Statistics: The national consumer price index in August rose by 0.3% over the previous month and by 0.7% over the same month of the previous year. From January to August, the total consumer price index dropped by 0.8% over the same period of previous year. Compared with the previous month, the prices of food and housing in the consumer prices rose by 1.2% and 0.2% respectively. The prices of tobacco, alcoholic beverages and supplies, medical care and personal appliances remained unchanged while the prices of the remaining four categories of goods and services dropped in varying degrees. The increase of food prices is the main factor driving the overall price level up. After deducting food, the consumer price level dropped slightly by 0.1% over the previous month.
