《辽宁文化通史》注意充分体现地方的人文历史特点、充分反映辽宁历史文化中的民族性特征,立足辽宁、观照东北乃至全国,与时俱进、在地方文化通史中首次将非物质文化遗产入史,详略从史实出发,不硬凑篇幅,为编撰地域文化史的有益探索。
