党的十二大提出了开创我国社会主义建设新局面的战斗任务。钢铁工业在党十一届三中全会提出的调整、改革、整顿、提高方针指引下,已走上了健康发展的道路。近五年来,依靠现有企业进行挖潜、革新、改造,在不断提高质量,扩大品种的同时,钢产量平均每年递增二百万吨,能源和主要原材料消耗逐年降低,经济效益逐年提高,取得了显著成绩。
