Newton’s problem, also known as grazing of cattle (or sheep), is a common type of topic in primary and secondary mathematics. Not only can we see it in extracurricular readings or educational publications in primary and secondary schools, but we can also find it in the primary and secondary school math contests and even civil service examinations in some areas. With the constant research on the Newton problem, there are many variant problems now such as spring water problems (wells, ditches, drains, reservoirs, etc.), ticket checking problems (stations, docks, etc.). Of the problem solving methods, you can often see integer solution or equation solution. The good news is that in “Primary and Secondary Mathematics” (Primary School Edition), No. 1-2, 2013, Peng Guoping and Xu Zeping published “another solution to the issue of cattle grazing”
