Two-dimensional pole-ordering method was used to quantitatively divide the four communities of Davidia involucrata in different locations into three groups, namely, the Davidia involucrata community in the Bifengdian area, the Davidia involucrata community in the Chukougou valley and the Davidia involucrata community in the Shimuhe River. These three combinations are consistent with the gradient of soil moisture and thickness, indicating that the plant community is closely related to the environment. The polar ordination diagram visually shows the ecological distribution of the six plots and reflects the gradient change of the habitat. The sorted plots can also reflect the quantitative distribution of the dominant species on the plots and indicate the ecological adaptability of the plant species.
