One explanation for the decline in adult memory with age is the poor ability of the elderly to process information. Many memory tasks require people to remember information for long periods of time and to be proficient in the use of information in repetition, organization, and more. Slow memory makes this ability to reduce. In order to study the age differences of adults in causing and recalling long-term memory information, the authors tested the speed and accuracy of recognizing glyphs, remembering names and classifications of young and old people. Among 61 subjects, 24 were males and 37 were females. Among them, 35 were young people, of whom 18 were educated for 12 years and those with a low education level averaged 20.4 years of age; 17 were 16 to 19 years of education with a high level of education with an average age of 24.4 years. 26 in the elderly group, 13 with a low level of education, an average of 66.6 years old; and 13 with a high education level, with an average age of 71.6 years.
