The main factors influencing the characteristics of long persistence luminescent powder are discussed. Describes the basic requirements for testing its luminous characteristics. On this basis, a new device for testing long afterglow phosphors is described. It uses an analog D65 light source as the excitation light source and an autoranging photometer to measure the long-lasting phosphor brightness. The excitation light from the excitation source to the sample and the emitted light from the sample to the photometer are all conducted by the optical fiber. Excitation light is controlled by an electric shutter coupled in the middle of two optical fibers. The work of the device is controlled by a computer. It should be specially pointed out that the device can work under normal lighting conditions. The measurements show that the design of the device is very clever and practical
