倪瓒的传世书迹多以小楷为主,中杂行书笔意,形成了他恬淡瘦劲、静穆秀雅的独特风格。作品主要见于题画、诗稿、信札和跋语,独幅的书法作品不多。明代的李日华在《六研斋笔记》中曾记载倪瓒传世书迹有《三印帖》《客居诗帖》《醉歌行》《竹处帖》《月初发舟帖》《寄陈惟寅诗卷》等等,这其中很多已经失传。目前存世的书法代表作品主要有《静寄轩诗文》《淡室诗》(现藏故宫博物院)、《自书诗稿卷》(藏于台北故宫博物院)。关于倪瓒小楷书法风格特点,后世有几种不同观点的评价。被引用最多的是徐渭“古而媚,密而疏”的说法,
