丁谦(1843年～1919年),字益甫,近代著名历史地理学家。著有《蓬莱轩舆地学丛书》69卷、《元马可·波罗游记补注》等,对历代边疆地理及邻国地理等均有很深的研究。关于丁谦之籍贯,《辞海》、《辞源》、《中国历史大辞典·史学史卷》、《中国历代名人辞典》、《浙江人物简志》等均作“仁和(今杭州市)人”。然‘‘仁和”非丁谦之真正籍贯,丁谦实是浙江嵊县人。
