法国陆军是一支训练有素的作战部队,在过去近40年的时间里,曾连续部署到海外执行军事行动。但是,其现役大部分的装备都是30年前购买的,这些装备急需进行更换。2014年,经过10多年的试验之后,法国陆军启动了装甲装备现代化计划。这项计划不仅仅是要更换老旧的装备,其更大目标是使法国陆军掌握最新技术。这项计划被称为“蝎子”(Scorpion)计划,Scorpion实际上是法语“通过多功能化和信息化增强接触式作战的协同能力”的缩写。
The French Army is a well-trained combat unit that has been deployed continuously to overseas military operations for nearly 40 years. However, most of its active duty equipment was purchased 30 years ago and the equipment was in urgent need of replacement. In 2014, after more than 10 years of experimentation, the French Army launched an armored equipment modernization program. The plan is not just to replace the old equipment, its greater goal is to enable the French army to grasp the latest technology. Known as the “Scorpion” project, Scorpion is actually an acronym in French for “enhancing synergy in contact warfare through versatility and information.”
