我场位于斗门县南部,属滨海咸淡水交界的潮水地区,农作物以甘蔗为主。 为解决排灌及通行运蔗船的需要,蔗区每700～1000亩即建有净宽4米左右的小水闸一座。这些水闸原来都采用松木闸板,每只门(门高4米)需用大规格松木4立方米。因受船蛆(本地称蚝虫)蛀食及自然腐朽,每年要更新闸板约三分之一。由于缺乏木材,不能及时更新,大潮期间经常发生闸板断毁,咸水进田的事故,成为我场水利工作的一个难题。
My field is located in southern Doumen County, is a tidal basin at the junction of saltwater freshwater, crops mainly sugar cane. In order to solve the need of drainage and irrigation and transportation of sugarcane carriers, a small sluice with a net width of about 4 meters is built every 700-1000 mu of sugarcane planting area.
