Chen Yuxi (China Institute of Water Resources and Hydropower Research): The original author calculated the earth pressure on the supporting structure of the pit wall according to the principle of effective stress. Analyzed the rationality of the separation of water and earth pressures, and put forward the improvement opinion of water and earth pressure. The author’s dissertation is obviously useful to improve the design level of the supporting structure of the pit wall. The author discusses the following three issues mentioned in the article and asks the authors and readers to correct me.
