Epithelial-Mesenchymal Transition (EMT) is a morphological process in which epithelial cells transform into mesenchymal cells through specific processes and plays an important role in cancer invasion-metastasis cascade. In the course of cancer, tumor cells undergo a series of dynamic and reversible phenotypic changes. This plasticity of the EMT program suggests that epigenetic regulation plays an important role in this process. EMT-related transcription factors regulate EMT programs by regulating the expression of key target genes. These major EMT-inducible factors depend on epigenetic regulation and regulation of gene expression during EMT. Therefore, understanding the epigenetic mechanism of EMT regulation helps us better understand the molecular mechanisms of tumor metastasis and provide new targets and ideas for the treatment of malignant tumors.
