聚丙烯纤维对混凝土性能有明显的改善作用,在混凝土中加入较低掺量的聚丙烯纤维,即可减少或防止混凝土在浇注后早期硬化阶段,因泌水和水分散失而引起塑性收缩和微裂纹;也可以减少和防止混凝土硬化后期产生干缩裂缝及温度变化引起的微裂纹,从而改善混凝土的防渗、抗冻、抗冲磨等性能。同时由于大量纤维随机分布于混凝土中,使混凝土结构的变形能力、初裂后残余强度、韧性都有一定提高。
