Emily and Wetrose’s grandmother were from the South American writers William Faulkner and Catherine Ann Potter’s “A Rose for Emily” and “abandoned Wetheroll Grandma ”. Although literary works created by different writers at different times, the two works show a strong intertextuality after comparison. This article takes this as the starting point, constructs the intertextuality of two different texts from three aspects of the life experiences of the two heroines “Abandoned ”, “the theme of opposition to patriarchy ” and the ingenious combination of spatial images To compare the images of abandoned women of Emily and Wetrose’s grandma and to expose the tragic fate of the two.
