太和城遗址位于云南省西部的大理市下关镇太和村,村子位于城址内中部偏南,南距大理市区约5公里,北距大理古城约8公里,滇藏公路(即214国道)、大(理)丽(江)公路均由南向北并行穿城而过(图一)。太和城是唐代云南地方政权“南诏国”建立后的第一个都城,从739年定都于此,至779年迁都大厘城~①止,作为都城前后计40年。1961年,国务院公布为第一批全国重点文物保护单位。
The site of Taihe City is located in Taihe Village, Xiaguan Town, Dali City, western Yunnan Province. The village is located in the south of the central part of the city, about 5 kilometers away from the downtown of Dali in the south and about 8 kilometers to the ancient city of Dali in the north. The Yunnan- ), Da (Li) Li (Jiang) Highway from south to north through the city through parallel (Figure 1). Taihe City was the first capital city after the founding of the Nanzhao State Power in Yunnan in the Tang Dynasty. It was capitalized here from 739 to 798 when it was relocated to the capital. In 1961, the State Council announced the first batch of national key cultural relics protection units.
