一、引导全市职工为经济发展建功立业。组织职工开展创建“工人先锋号”等活动;开展“关爱职工的优秀企业家奖”等评选活动。几年来,开展各种劳动竞赛1000余次,推广技术革新400余项。开设了工会职业道德大讲堂;成立了郭明义爱心团队海城志愿者大队;组织志愿者无偿献血;指导扶持企业建立完善职工活动室、图书室。市总先后举办了职工书画展、读书演讲会、拔河赛、歌手大赛、球类及棋类等比赛。二、最大限度把职工组织到工会中来。职工人数200人以上的单位,全部按同级副职配备了专职工会主席;分8批招聘社会化工会干部49名,覆盖全市非公企业124家。开展了“双亮双履”、“达八有”规范化建设活动,目前全市基层工会规范化建设90%达标。
