《窦娥冤》、《赵氏孤儿》和《汉宫秋》、《梧桐雨》号称元人四大悲剧,无论就内容的深刻或艺术的精湛说,都可以称为我国戏曲史上的丰碑大(?),历来被人们所赞誉。关于这四部悲剧,王国维有过权威性的论述,他在《宋元戏曲考》中说:“明以后,传奇无非喜剧,而元则有悲剧在其中。就基存者言之,如《汉宫秋》、《梧桐雨》、《西蜀梦》、《火烧介子推》、《张千替杀妻》等,
