2008年北京奥运会体育场馆的兴建,让杨德禄一夜暴富的同时也失去了家园。他用政府的巨额拆迁补偿费在京郊买了600亩地,试图重温洼里生活。最近,一份命名为“关于创建筹办奥林匹克中国洼里乡土艺术博物馆的申请”的书面材料,被递交到了北京市各级政府部门的案头。递交材料者,是北京原洼里乡乡民杨德禄。因2008年北京奥林匹克公园的兴建,他的家乡洼里乡被政府征用,他在得到巨额拆迁补偿的同时也失去了家园。54岁的杨德禄没有像别的乡民一样开始享受生活,他准备投资500万元,创建一个占地400亩的关于家乡的博物馆,将洼里的记忆留存下来。

Recently, a written document entitled “Application for Establishing the Olympic Chinese Wali Local Art Museum” was submitted to the desk of government departments at all levels in Beijing. Submitted material, is the original village of Beijing Yang Wali Yang Defu. Due to the construction of Beijing Olympic Park in 2008, his hometown of Wali Township was requisitioned by the government and he lost his home while being compensated for huge demolition. Yang Delu, 54, did not start enjoying life like other villagers. He planned to invest 5 million yuan to create a 400-acre museum on his hometown that will keep the memories of Wali.
