1选种茭白按“孕茭”采收季节分为一熟茭和两熟茭两大类。它们在形态上并无明显差异,但在栽培特性上却有所不同。一熟茭,又称单季茭,小熟茭,于春季分墩种植,当年秋季采收茭白。以后每年秋季采收一熟茭白,可连续采收3~4年。从秋季采收时间的早晚又分为早熟的7月茭,中熟的8月茭,晚熟的9月茭。单季茭在生产上为保持种性和获得高产,多实行每年选种,换田重栽。该类品种对环境、肥水及栽培技术等要求不严,
