2016年3月29日至4月3日,第19届智利国际航空航天展在圣地亚哥举行。航展上,智利FAMAE公司展出540-1M和542-1M两款新型步枪。这两款新型步枪是智利FAMAE公司分别在瑞士SIG公司研制的SG540步枪、SG542步枪基础上改进而成的。540-1M步枪发射5.56mm×45mm枪弹,542-1M步枪发射7.62×51mm枪弹。此外,540-1M步枪采用以色列FAB防务公司的握把、两脚架以及以色列Meprolight公司的瞄准镜。542-1M步枪则在机匣顶部及护手四周设有皮卡汀尼导
March 29 to April 3, 2016, the 19th Chilean International Aerospace Exhibition held in San Diego. At the air show, Chile FAMAE company exhibited two new rifles 540-1M and 542-1M. These two new rifles are the F5AE Chilean company developed in Switzerland SIG SG540 rifles, SG542 rifles based on the improvement made. 540-1M rifle fired 5.56mm × 45mm bullets, 542-1M rifles fired 7.62 × 51mm bullets. In addition, the 540-1M rifle uses Israeli FAB Defense’s grips, bipod and Israeli sight Meprolight. The 542-1M rifle has a Picatinny guide around the top of the receiver and around the armor
