Forest encephalitis, also known as tick-borne encephalitis, is clinically characterized by sudden high fever, meningeal irritation, unconsciousness and limb paralysis. Severe forest encephalitis patients can cause respiratory failure and die within a few hours to several days. Totally hard ticks are the major biological vectors of this disease. The incidence has been increasing year by year. In addition to the clinical manifestations of central nervous system infectious diseases, it can also affect the respiratory muscles, causing paralysis of respiratory muscles and even respiratory failure.
